How to get started on SharpSpring
For SharpSpring users – this checklist will help you get started using the SharpSpring platform.
The process below follows a step by step tour of the platform and will be completed using a blend of online videos, meeting sessions and discussions.
Step 1: Watch the In-App Videos
- An overview of the SharpSpring platform.
- Familiarise yourself with all the functions and features.
- Click HERE to view the videos.
Step 2: Add users to the SharpSpring platform
- Send the name and email address of your platform administrator to Inspired Marketing.
- The administrator will receive a verification email which must be clicked to activate the account.
- The administrator can then add team members as users to the platform.
- Each user will be sent a verification email which must be clicked to activate their account.
Step 3: Manually add yourself as a contact in the contact manager
- Users can login to the SharpSpring platform by going to www.inspiredmarketing.co.za and clicking the login button on the menu bar on the top right.
- In SharpSpring, on the grey menu bar at the top, navigate to >> ‘Contacts’.
- Select the ‘Contacts’ dropdown, and once the page displays >> go to the white ‘+Contact’ button on the top right and >> click to open the pop-up window.
- Insert your First Name, Last Name, Company Name, Email, Mobile and Work phone numbers >> click ‘Save’.
- A grey box saying you have successfully added a contact will appear on the top right with a link to view the contact record >> click to view your contact record.
Step 4: Access the ‘Virtual Classroom’
- Click on ‘your profile’ in the grey menu bar, top right (it’s next to your organisations name).
- A pop-up window will open. Under the HELP column >> click on ‘Virtual Classroom’.
- In the ‘Virtual Classroom’ >> click on ‘Content Library’ and >> go to the ‘Marketing Automation Essentials’ course.
- This course will teach you everything you need to become proficient with the SharpSpring application. You can complete this course in your own time.
- NOTE: For organisations such as NGO’s, please note that the universal language used is business orientated – however, the features and functions are relevant for all types of organisations.
Step 5: Access the ‘Help Docs’
- Click on ‘your profile’ in the top grey menu bar (next to your company name).
- Under the HELP column >> go to ‘Help Docs’.
- The ‘Help Docs’ provide extensive self-help resources to assist in finding the answers to questions you may have while working on SharpSpring.
- You are welcome to contact Inspired Marketing for further assistance, support requests and campaign discussions and implementation.
Step 6: Access your onboarding and campaign console
- Inspired Marketing will provide you with an Excel or a Google Sheet ‘Console’ to monitor and keep track of your onboarding process, and campaign management.
Step 7: Prepare a list of questions
- Once the above steps have been completed >> click HERE to book a meeting with the Inspired Marketing team to help set up your first campaign.
