2. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet, or other electronic device) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide a better user experience, and provide information to website owners.

Cookies can be:

  • Session Cookies: Temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent Cookies: Cookies that remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.

Cookies can also be classified as:

  • First-Party Cookies: Set by the website you are visiting.
  • Third-Party Cookies: Set by a third-party service provider (e.g., Google Analytics).

3. WHY WE USE COOKIES

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

These cookies are essential for the operation of our Websites. They enable core functionality such as security, network management, and accessibility. Without these cookies, services you have requested cannot be provided.

Legal Basis: These cookies are strictly necessary for the provision of our website services and do not require consent under GDPR and POPIA.

3.2 Performance and Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our Websites by collecting and reporting information anonymously. This helps us improve our Websites and understand which pages are most popular.

Legal Basis: These cookies require your consent under GDPR and POPIA (except where they are used in a way that does not identify individuals).

3.3 Functionality Cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering your preferences, language settings, or region. They may also be used to provide services you have requested, such as watching a video or commenting on a blog.

Legal Basis: These cookies require your consent under GDPR and POPIA.

3.4 Marketing and Targeting Cookies

These cookies are used to deliver advertisements more relevant to you and your interests. They are also used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement and help measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. We may use these cookies to remember that you have visited our Websites and to build a profile of your interests.

Legal Basis: These cookies require your explicit consent under GDPR and POPIA.
